1. There’s not much reason that they can’t all be 18, and still in high-school. It’d be some weird time-compression but there’s already plenty of that.
    
2. While not many parts of the US, 16 is legal age of consent in many places of the world, and they generally don’t seem to have issues come up for that. It’s hard to believe the EqG aren’t at least 16, so unless you’re willing declare places like europe to be pedophilic for not having an age of consent as high as the US’s, it’s safe to assume that sexualizing late-teens is generally okay.
    
3. As others have said, they’re not real, so why are you concerned? Regardless of the tenuous status of their canonical age, they APPEAR as sexually mature.
    
   The fact that I could just as easily label this as “aged-up” while not changing a single line, and that that would generally appease the puritans, makes trying to figure out an alleged age kinda pointless. Anime has 12-year-olds that look 18 and 30-year-olds that look 14. A character’s stated age in animation is possibly the single most incredibly unhelpful statistic and it drives me bonkers that insecure wankers would put so much stock in it.
    
   Hell, someone could change the Equestria Girl’s script to replace all mentions of high-school with college, and it would fly just fine 90% of the time. And again, the puritans would be appeased, despite no change how the characers actually appear.
    
   I appreciate you not wanting to start drama, so I apologize if I failed to keep snark out of my post. It’s just that your type of comment comes up often enough and I’m getting tried of having to explain how it is just uptight nonsense.
