Basically, they would be saliva activated. IE: Get them wet and they change color.
We just add the pony equivalent of having the actual ability of adding “rainbow” as it’s own color scheme.
You really got to use it for this scene.
A theory: The pony world has a color outside of the normal visual spectrum. It’s seen (and depicted as) a rainbow like this. Dash’s mane is this color, as is Rainbow Falls, and this is the color these cookies turn when exposed to moisture of some kind.
For the sake of conversation, let’s call this rainbow color the Color out of Space. Or Octarine, that could work too.
It really shows the talent they have. They literally did a whole zombie mob.
I thought the whole “28 pranks later” was going to be an unrelated pun to the 28 days later zombie stories, but I was SO WRONG.
