I simply meant that giving hugs seems very much the opposite of Opaline’s way of doing things. Thus saying:

Is very much an understatement, and I was complimenting you on what I took as skilled use of language.

I guess I will point out that you technically didn’t answer my question, but then again maybe it wasn’t technically the right one to ask? And with THAT I have now done my self-assigned duty for the moment. Up to you to take care of the rest now.

So for herself. And regarding Opaline, even without full power, she has enough to easily overpower Sunny while she’s vulnerable. I was thinking more like she has that enough honour to not strike her while she’s down.

I suppose so, but perhaps she’s gotten tunnel vision as to getting Sparky to restore her full power first.
As far as Misty is concerned, I would imagine that she’s crying because she’s jealous of the support network that Sunny has that held her up, even when she was at her weakest - and all she’s got is an abusive mother-figure. She wishes that she could have ponies around her to tell her it’s alright, to provide comfort and support.

Is the glowing thing supposed to represent the emotion of the sigh from the previous panel taking another drop of her “sparkle” from her?
Is it just supposed to be mundane breath fog on a cold night? (seems too glowy).
Something else?
EDIT:
Continues to hold up his sign from the comment he made a few minutes ago on the last panel.
EDIT^2:
Or maybe the magical locket she uses to talk to Opaline (right?)? In which case her hooves “just happened” to end up inside to necklace part of it for the artistic purpose of showing she is metaphorically tied up, a emotional prisoner of Opaline.
