Discovery Family’s social media guy didn’t look at who they were retweeting.
Because there is no such thing as criminals and bullies.
I’m having difficulty figuring out what you’re even trying to say too and I don’t think spending the energy figuring out how I disagree is worth the time considering the context of this image.
So with that said please drop this topic. It’s an interesting thing to discuss but it’s /WAY/ off topic and we’ve already had one nutcase spin around and circles about political nonesense, I don’t want to trigger anyone else into this discussion. It’s a picture about horses that Discovery accidentally retweeted at someone with a non-PC name. I don’t want to see six more pages of people talking about the morality of the human race and the consequences of government.
None of that makes any sense, so I’ll just leave you to it.
yeah, but about all of the violence in those “predictable results” was for the purposes of bullying people into being governed again. so you could equally argue that the formation of government is what turns us into violent maniacs. not fair to blame absence of government on a group that’s actively fighting for the presence of government.
anyway I was talking about not being governed. the government doesn’t have to collapse for that. they just have to not be more powerful than the people.
Well, the problem there is that “complete governmental collapse” is in fact a recurring theme throughout human history, and the results are fairly predictable at this point.
if I had a penny for everyone who claimed that we’d be nothing but unwashed savages without a government to rule us, I’d be able to buy the whole discovery family and use it to troll people on twitter.
Indeed excessive power is more likely to cause disaster. Even on smaller scale like with admins.
A ruler with absolute power who poses a threat to the nation
Absolute power held by any individual is inherently a threat to a nation, that’s why Rome had rules limiting its practice to the direst emergencies. Any dictator who accomplishes good things– or “good things”– does so in spite of the position, not because of it.

By definition, even by the old definition, you are mistaken. Originally a dictator was someone who had absolute power over the state in an emergency. He was called dictator not as a bad thing, but because he dictated the laws. His word was law.
If he said “It is now forbidden to drink wine”, no one had the right to drink wine, and if he felt like drinking wine later, he could literally say “With the exception of me!”
Generally it was expected that such rule was an emergency rule and that the dictator was sane and wise enough to not make insane rulings. But not all men are the same, and some dictators did terrible things.
Such vile acts led to the current use of the word. A ruler with absolute power who poses a threat to the nation.
What needs to be explained? What don’t you get?

I meant dictatorship everywhere and we can’t or even should do anything about it. It’s perfectly normal. What I was saying that calling dictatorship and dictators as bad thing is outright wrong and hypocritical.

Too much government = everyone is slaves to big brother. Too little government = everyone lives in shitty ass mounds of dirt instead of modern society like anarchists THINK they wanted. Anything in between = everyone bitches about the government being too strong until it not being strong enough hurts them directly in some way, then they complain about it not being helpful enough.
Now back to the image. Spike has his eyes on the price and Twilight’s wings look weird.
That is a rather pessimistic approach. But I agree that less government and less authority is better.

Point me out any governance that isn’t dictatorship. Democracy is dictatorship of capital for example. Dictatorship of bunch of rich man that give absolutely no fucks at your concerns.

Sometimes it can be the other way around too and you feel really bad for not knowing the truth beforehand. Hitler’s paintings, for example, were actually decent.
