That’s Nack the weasel actually.
IT’S NO USE
That “machine” is his airbike the “Marvelous Queen,” I think. (Which he also used in “Sonic Drift 2.”)
He did use his gun in “Sonic the Fighters,” but given the cartoony/comical nature of the game it fired corks. (Which still hurt.)
A pre-release screenshot of “Triple Trouble” from an old gaming magazine shows he was originally intended to use a gun. It was removed, I guess for being a bit “violent/dark,” or something. (Then “Shadow the Hedgehog” happened 11 years later.)
In triple trouble, most encounters were on some sort of transforming flying machine…
That was only in “Sonic the Fighters” to suit the game’s comical/cartoony look. In the comics, and such he uses actual bullets.
This pairing is good though. They both wear hats! Derp
Admittedly, I’m not very familar with her. I never really saw the issues with her in them aside from a panel image of her from an old issue.
I still prefer Nack though, he’s not totally evil, but still a menace. I’d like to see him in the games again someday. (As long as they don’t ruin his personality in the games, as I said. I like his personality in the comics.)
Actually, of the two, Nic is the mean one. It’s why Nack can be kept in a normal prison, but they have to custom build a prison fir Nic.
Yeah, I’d rather keep him as a villain. According to the “Sonic Triple Trouble” manual, he’s not into power, or “world domination,” like Robotnik/Eggman is. He just wants the chaos emeralds for the money, so he’s like a more greedy/ruthless character who sets up traps, for Sonic, and such.
(Which sometimes backfire on him, he’s kinda unlucky/klutzy sometimes.) I like him ‘cause he’s kinda dark/nasty, yet a li’l clumbsy/humorous to. He’d be a unique character to have. He might even make a good rival for Knuckles, or Rouge.
I think his sister “Nic the weasel” only exists in the comics’ canon. I have to admit though, she was kinda a pointless character, (pretty much the same personality, and look as Nack, only female) even the current writer of the comic says he doesn’t know what to do with her, and just uses Nack. (Though, he did give Nic a cameo a few years back.)
If I had him as part of a game, He’d be a villain. Dude’s evil, he just likes getting paid to do it.
Also, he has a twin sister, who is quite possibly going through constant menstruation.
True, wonder why Sega dropped that character… The series could use another recurring antagonist. (As long as they don’t “water him down,” or make him an anti-hero like they did Shadow, and Silver who were just misguided, and not true villains.)
Oh well, at least he lives on in the Sonic comics. (With some other obscure Sonic game characters that Sega has forgotten.)
They did give him a subtle reference in “Sonic Generations.” His face is featured on a “Wanted” poster in City Escape.
I think the analogy could be that they are both fan favorites but haven’t appeared much since their first appearances.
