Sorry if you felt offended by my comment, it was general. Plus, I love Lightning Dust as well.
 
I don’t think she showed regret for her actions, otherwise she wouldn’t have acted like that in this new ep. It was more like she was unhappy to leave the Academy.

Exactly.
Based on this logic, every foe and jerk in the show needs to be put on the right track, but that’s almost impossible, it’s a great utopia but that’s it. Even in real life, no matter how good the lessons might be, some people just WOULDN’T listen.
 
Lightning Dust showed regret at the end of Wonderbolt Academy; she also still considered Dashie a friend.  
That would have been great conditions for a redemption.  
If you want to have irredeemable villains take Tirek and the Storm King.

Call me crazy, but don’t you have a bit of a bias rockin’ the LD avatar? Not every character needs redemption. Even in a show like this there’s an important message that you can’t just make everyone your friend.
