Personality: Spectral Sky is a very reserved pony, he likes time to himself and is rarely seen socializing with any pony. He is incredibly dedicated to his studies, often to the point where he will go days without speaking to even his parents. There’s two ponies that he makes the most time for, his boyfriend Platinum Dash and his sister, Carina. Despite his shut-in attitude, with the help of Platinum Dash, Spectral has become a lot more open to friends.
 
Biography: Spectral Sky is the first born child of Twilight Sparkle and Comet Tail. Twilight and Comet Tail began dating when Twilight formed her Royal Guard. They had been dating for almost a year when Twilight got pregnant with Spectral Sky. The two of them were delighted, as Twilight had been wanting a child for a long time. In their enjoyment and excitement, the two got married. From the moment he was born, Spectral Sky was equally talented as he was quiet. Twilight was excited that he was magically talented, and began teaching him the ways of magic as soon as he was old enough.
 
When he was old enough, Twilight enrolled Spectral Sky into Princess Celestia’s School for Gifted Unicorns. He enrolled alongside his best friend, Dawn Radiance. Both of them made into the school where they began learning magic together. Dawn and Spectral were at the top of his class. Dawn quickly earned her Cutie Mark, but Spectral Sky hadn’t. As they spent time in class, Spectral Sky noticed that Dawn was advancing quicker than he was, but it didn’t bother him until he was confronted by his teacher, Crimson Sheen.
 
His teacher told him that as a prince, and the daughter of Princess Twilight Sparkle that he should be miles ahead of every pony his class and that he was letting them down. She continued to tell him that he was holding himself back but having friends. The conversation really got to Spectral Sky, from that day forward he dedicated his entire life to his studies.
 
When Twilight Sparkle and Comet Tail split up (see Carina’s bio) Spectral did his best to ignore it, he acted like he was alright with it but buried his emotions in his studies, hiding it from his family. After a long time of keeping it hidden, Spectral finally told Carina what he was feeling and eventually; his parents. He kept the conversation brief, but over time Spectral Sky learned to live with it.
 
Not long after he earned his Cutie Mark, but vowed to himself that he would never lose sight of his one true goal, to write a magic spell of his own. From that day, he distanced himself from all the ponies he considered his friends, even his own family. Twilight worried greatly about him, since she had done the same thing as a young pony. She attempted to help him, but not of her efforts worked.  
Spectral spent most of his life like this, until he was dragged to a Wonderbolt show in Ponyville by his family to watch Rainbow Dash perform. It was at this rally that he met a pegasus by the name of Platinum Dash, son of Soarin’ and Spitfire. Platinum talked to Spectral, which Spectral returned with his usual coldness, but he couldn’t stop thinking about the pegasus.
 
Eventually, Spectral Sky let Platinum Dash get closer and closer to him, surprising a lot of his family. However, Spectral knew what Platinum wanted he was nervous, he didn’t think he was ready for a relationship, but he couldn’t help himself. After accidently standing Platinum up, however, their relationship nearly came to a complete stop. With the help of Dawn Radiance, Spectral Sky repaired their relationship and the two of them began dating.
