I wouldn’t mind if Deltarune was released in an episodic fashion. If the last chapter is made and we need to buy the full game and play the other chapters again to get to it, I wouldn’t mind that as well.

I’m not so sure if Toby is going to end up releasing Chapter 2 by itself, since he has said before that he wanted to release the rest of the game altogether, unless that recent tweet with the teaser images and songs sort of confirms that he changed his mind about it.
 
Personally, I’d find it weird if he released it chapter by chapter. Then again, it’d be like a scaled-down version of WoW and its seven expansions, but I don’t know if it would work because it’s small.
