speaking of: I watched a bit of Anita’s GaymerX Panel and she talks about Papo and Yo and how the game isn’t fun at all, but she loves games like gone home and dear Esther. Looking at game footage I realized she didn’t like the game, because it had actual game mechanics such as puzzles and platforming, in stead of just move from point A to B look at C and go to D with agenda crammed in your face.
 
Side Note: That entire panel was a huge circle jerk of egos for the Anita, Carolyn Petit and someone I don’t know to say that games need a tag that say “This game hates women.” and the facepalm could be heard all over the world.

I don’t necessarily agree with a lot of the mouthpieces, but I do enjoy reading people’s thoughts on it, and if I’m lucky, I get something new to think about. The best ones are where the opinion is completely different from what the rest of the group thinks because, yes, I don’t like the idea of living my life in an echo chamber.
 
So basically mouthpieces are good for bringing up talking points, and good if you love debating stuff, but that’s about it.
