Long story short, ElasticSearch decided to not work in a very absolute and unfixable manner as soon as we span it up on production. Worth noting we’ve been using ElasticSearch on a sister box to trixie, our main server, tank, for managing log data. These two machines are very nearly identical and in terms of software are practically twins (same OS, same versions, same software packages) so we strangely assumed that ES would spin up fine. It didn’t, I spent 2 hours trying to right this, and eventually decided to get that done with the site online so you guys can keep posting. We’ll reschedule the downtime for sometime this weekend if we have a fix by then.

so what went wrong?

I’d like to filter out Artist:Atryl + Anthro, but not Artist:Atryl on its own.

Update weirded, so we’re back. Clover said he’ll try again at some point.
