It seems they are near a region called the “Rainy Coast” in this universe and it seems to be closely related. Dockland, as seen in the series bares a striking resemblance to Portland. There is also Fort Vanhoover which I assume is Vancouver, WA. These tidbits are scattered around the series. :)
