Solomon is a unicorn that has lived nearly his whole life in Canterlot. He was born to the rich and retired noted adventurer, Cyrus Seeker, a much older unicorn who’s decided to retire, and to spend the rest of his life with his remaining limbs and pass on his title. Solomon, however, was raised differently as soon as he could talk. His mother, Lady Anna, would rather her son follow her family’s path in becoming a royal guard. Solomon lived his childhood learning to read, write, act proper, and start casting spells at an early age, all throughout his parent’s constant bickering. As soon as he finished the “general school”, he was immediately put into Colt School, where he met four other young colts who would become his best mates. It was during that time that he began to crave knowledge in everything, reading every book he could lay his hooves on, and asking questions whenever possible, leading to his cutie mark that symbolizes this. Colt School shaped him into a proper gentlecolt, and taught him true discipline that he would need to pursue a career as a royal guard.
But he, the young colt who had lived up to his parents’ ideals and orders, felt that he had been obedient long enough. Solomon, along with his mates, went to their own parents, letting them know that they do not wish to become royal guards, and would rather choose their own path. Naturally, their parents were quite unsettled with their sons, and denied them their freedom.
The colts persisted, and eventually wore down their parents, who then declared that they would not pay for any other education, leaving the colts unable to pursue their interests.
Together, they vowed that they would find their own means to afford to go to the schools of their choice.
Now, they patrol the streets of Canterlot, looking for work that will help them get to their goals. But what work would be suitable for a group of young gentlecolts?
