You have yet to point out a flaw that can’t be excused as a stylistic decision, and you still keep tearing the image apart with smug self-satisfaction. You aren’t giving reliable feedback as much as demanding everything conforms to your narrow standards.
If you’re talking about things like proportion, and perspective then those are measurable facts. All art is based on certain principles, and style can’t account for that if it varies in the same picture. It basically just means they can’t execute a pose properly yet. Artists need reliable feedback to improve, not a bunch of hollow praise from people who have no idea what they’re talking about.
I shall indeed keep my opinion on this matter just as I shall make no attempt to convince you to change yours. Just know that your opinions are no objective, undisputable truth like some of your posts make it seem you are presenting them as.
Well, that’s exactly what opinion is. Yours is that it’s good, mine is that it’s bad, and that doesn’t change the flaws that I pointed out. Feel free to keep your opinion my comment was rude as well ;P
I like it because I think it looks good, and as I said the things that bother you don’t bother me. That’s all the reason I need for liking something.
Well, I specifically pointed out the ones that aren’t stylistic, I could talk about parts I like and dislike about the style for a whole separate paragraph. As I already said, it’s a good concept so I’m not surprised it has more up votes than down. You also haven’t even provided any reason for liking it other than “other people like it”.
Or maybe it’s mostly stylistic choices and you’re being overly negative. As of this post it has 27 upvotes and 2 downvotes, so clearly I’m not in the minority when I say I like it.
Do you any actual knowledge of art or are you just talking out your flank? ;P
I’ll be more specific either way, just talking about measurable aspects and not opinions. The proportions on Fluttrshy are way off, for example the size of her head. This is made more obvious by the size of her hair also being too large. You can tell this is not a style issue, because Big Mac has much better proportions, aside from his overly large hooves. Fluttershy’s legs also don’t even seem to be all the same length, or proportionate to the rest of her. Again, probably not style because you can compare this to Big Macintosh, who has legs that all seem to be the same length and fairly proportionate to his body. Her wings also seem very sharp and flat to me, I’m not sure why they’re so long either. I do like the concept, and this person could definitely be good at art someday. In retrospect, I should have not been lazy and just said this in the first place.
The truth can hurt, we’re not all gentlecolts. I don’t generally post comments like that but this was just surprisingly… off.
Well that was rude…
