Suddenly, the book activates and creates a salvo of bright lights and sparkles around the Mane-iac (who had already laid a hoof on it), causing her to drop the RESIDENT EVIL pony protagonists on the floor and become unable to move
Mane-iac: “Hey! What gives!?”
Rainbow Blitz: “I told you so.”
Mane-iac: captured by the lights “No! This is impossible! Get me out of this!”
Twilight: “You think you’ already won, Mane-iac? Well, that book you touched possesses all the powers and the magic of Friendship and Harmony!”
Mane-iac: “But why!?”
Twilight: “Because FRIENDSHIP IS MAGIC!”
Ember: “Goodbye, Mane-iac.”
Mane-iac: screaming while being absorbed by the powerful magic “NOOOO! NOOOOOOOOOO!”
[“The End of the Battle” from SHADOW OF THE COLOSSUS plays]
Shining Armor: after witnessing the lights and sparkles die down and Mane-iac’s second and final defeat “YEAH! That meant to happen!”
Rainbow: “1-2-3! And she’s down for the count!”
Zecora: “I am becoming a believer that the magic book has defeated this deceiver!”
Lightning Bliss: “So! What should we do now?”
Zecora: “I say we must all nod and watch THE NAKED GUN: FROM THE FILES OF POLICE SQUAD”
Cadence: “Great idea, Zecora!”
Mane-iac (after being defeated and transformed back into mild mannered Tresemme): prone on the ground while looking up at the moonlit sky and crying tears “My… mane. My BEAUTIFUL MANE!!! I’m so so sorry, Princess Celestia and Luna! I’m so sorry for all those crimes I committed! Please don’t deliver me to the moon! I just… ” sniff “I couldn’t control myself all because of those stupid superpowers I gained when I fell into the electrified vat of hair product!”
Cadence: walks over to Tresemme and hugs the now-sane yet teary-eyed, powerless mare “There, there. It’s alright. You won’t be needing those powers anymore anyway.”
Tresemme: wipes a tear from her face “Really?” sniff
Big Mac: “Eeyup.”
Draco: “Is right. All they did was turn you insane and power-hungry.”
Shining: “Don’t forget selfish, mean, destructive, sinister, greedy and ruthless.”
Twilight: “But you can still make friends instead of hiring henchponies.”
Tresemme: sniff “But all that I ever thought of was to have everything I wanted.”
Twilight: “It doesn’t work that way. You can still make bits by selling normal hair products to your customers. And your mane is still as beautiful as it looks, even without your powers… Tresemme.”
Tresemme: “What are you talking about? And how do you know my real name?”
Twilight: “Spike told me all about how you became the Mane-iac in his comic book. I’m Twilight.”
Tresemme: feeling all better and shakes hooves with Twilight “Nice to meet you, Twilight. And the rest of you are?”
After some minutes of explaining themselves to Tresemme, the RESIDENT EVIL ponies convince her to be a better and more careful businessmare and endure old life she had before she became the Mane-iac so that no pony or human would be harmed ever again. And after a victorious celebration, they returned to their own comic (which is to say based on the game series: RESIDENT EVIL) leaving Tresemme to re-attend to her old ways as a fully sane and productive pony
Yeah…for a few minutes.
