The fact that they don’t normally depart from GCT has already been addressed in the comic, though.

She’s referring to Hell Gate Bridge. While it’s true that Amtrak trains cross that bridge on the Northeast Corridor, they don’t depart from Grand Central Terminal. Also, they’re usually electric motors, AEM-7’s, and not the P32 diesels shown here. That being said, excellent details on the railroad equipment.
