@Bonberjean
Thank you for the explanation!
also the grid is 7x6…
the bishop piece uses the rounded head and the queen piece uses a crown… this one is clearly a queen
Assuming the black(red) piece between the kings is a queen, then it was just Luna’s turn and she checkmate white. No idea why her magic aura is around the king as she just moved her queen into checkmate.
If that piece is a rook then she checked the white king who should move to A1 (left). Luna would then move her king either to B3 or C2. Then it would again be white’s turn who wouldn’t have any legal moves left resulting in a draw by stalemate.
Out of curiosity, who would be the winner then?
I really really suck at chess.
I thought it’s a rook.

Yeah, it’s a checkmate. Blue cannot make any legal moves. Kings cannot move into a space where they would be captured. If it took the queen, the red king captures it next turn. If it makes any other move, it gets captured by the queen the next turn. Blue has already lost.
the blue side already lost… its a check-mate
And that is quite impressive considering her opponent was constantly distracted by that stunningly beautiful mare on the other side of the chessboard.
