“Companion piece to Cherubium Celestia
Ophanim, the Thrones of Heaven, who also served as vehicles for the Chreubium.
Luna is forced to pull her sister’s chariot and her Sun into the sky at dawn. During the night, she uses her many eyes to watch the world and find those in need, carrying wisdom to them in their dreams. Her beryl wheels may occasionally be glimpsed from Earth if you’re quick enough. Mortals tend to refer to this as a “shooting star.”
One day she made the bold claim that the Moon was more beautiful than the sun. For that, Celestia took her physical eyes, so she could never again set sight on her Moon with her own eyes. Over time, the resentment and anger for this act builds, and leads to her becoming the creature we call Nightmare Moon.
I do like Celestia guys, I promise XD. Everyone really liked the Cherubium Celestia I did, so I figured it needed a partner. While Celestia’s was from a dream, I had to think on this one and settled with the appearance and lore of the Ophanim, which are normally two interlocking beryl wheels with wings. Ophanim are not only the wheels of the chariot of God, but have been written to be transport for Cherubium, so I figured it was fitting.
