@Jarkes It sounded more like the other copies had been traded to foreign collectors.
Could the rest of the fans have been wealthy gryphons? It would be an interesting callback if they ever go to ‘gryphonia’ and one or more royal has it in their library.

What I don’t get is this: Rainbow Dash acts like it’s the only “first edition” of the book in existence. Except… that’s not how “first edition” works. “First edition” is literally just that: the first release of the book, and all the copies that were released during that time. Unless she literally meant that it was the very first copy of the book ever produced and sold.
