Wait, it’s not just that you need to practice but need to know how to do it? How do you do it?

This is the kind of thing I try to explain to my friends. I got good at art very quickly after being one of those “I wish I could do art” types myself. Turns out practice works. But also turns out practice is something you need to know how to do.  
The more people prove that getting good is less than a year away, the better. I’d love to never hear that stupid phrase again, to hear someone whine that they wish they could be a good artist like it was out of reach. Congrats to you for getting to this point!
