Description

Wanted to do an underwater painting of smolder of the first of the new year, Following the same pose as Smolder on grass,
Experimenting with different brushes and currently learning Krita as well. Also experimenting with anatomy and proportions.

I imagine Smolder wouldn’t like swimming underwater for too long, being a dragon. I feel like the water around her would dampen her ability to breathe fire, and this might make her feel uncomfortable—maybe a survival instinct of sorts to always have your defense mechanism prepared. Swimming in lava is the way to go. :)
