your current filter.In the book, Ebenezer Scrooge was not a wealthy man. He was just a common, skinflint miser like many middle-class British of the time. That was Dicken’s point: the reader could see himself being like Scrooge, more interested in the bottom line than in his brother’s welfare.
That’s the problem, you can’t really plan these things.
