Draw a pony graduating / Draw a pony attaining their goal.
Guess I work ok under pressure, but I was doing the early sketching around the first Makeup Day!
The goal of this year’s Artist Training Grounds was to improve on my technique. Whereas last year’s submissions were focused on trying to work in Autodesk Sketchbook and trying to draw recognizable characters, this year focused on layering-within-layers, paint tool effects, multiple view angles, and maintaining a set duration without sacrificing quality. The early start is a blessing because 1) my August is chock full of outdoorsy events, and 2) after five years out of grad school, I’m going back to school again.
That being said, I did notice that the ATG started off fun, became challenging as I started to run out of ideas, and then almost became a chore (that was alleviated by some planning and rough sketching). I don’t expect to complete every prompt of NATG 2020 but let’s see what happens.

At The School Of Friendship, the graduation ceremony is now as the parents, and guardians are there for their students, Starlight started to speak, “Welcome to the graduation ceremony of the students of The School Of Friendship.
(Starlight Speaking in the background)(Well all know this is the day for the future)
In their rooms the Young 6 are getting ready as they put on their graduation closes and hats, “I can’t wait for this. My parents would be proud!” Silverstream Said in excitement, “Yay this day will be good!” Gallus said, (Starlight Speaking in the background)(After the attacks of the villains last year) “My parents and brother and sister are happy when I graduate!” Ocellus said, “Yay you said it Cell!” Smolder said, (Starlight Speaking in the background)(And we hope this day will make this a future for them!”) “Yona excited for this with Sandbar!” Yona said, “Yay After the graduation and we?) Sandbar stopped talking,
“What are we going to do in the future now?” Sandbar said as the students were thinking, “I don’t know after this, we will think?” Gallus said, (Starlight Speaking in the background)(Now it’s time for the students to graduate!”) the students walk up to the stage.

At the graduation ceremony, the students sit on the seets, “First we are here to give these fine students a future of their new lives, first Gallus the Griffon!” Starlight said as he walked up and got the Graduation Folder as Grandpa Giff smiled a little bit and Gilda and Gabby clap, “Second SilverStream!” Starlight said as she came up and held the folder as her mother wap a tear from her eyes and her father smiled and her brother, aunt and cousin smiled and clapped, “third, Ocellus!” Starlight said as she came up and held the folder as her mother wap a tear from her eyes too as her father smiled as her brother and sister smiled.
“Fourth is Smolder!” Starlight said as she gave her the folder as Ember and the dragons clapped, “Fifth is Yona!” Starlight said as Yona came up as her parents stomped on the ground with happy-ness, “Sixth is Sandbar!” Starlight said as he came up as his mother wap a tear from her eyes as his father was happy and his sister too, the 6 walked down from the stage as Starlight’s voice was in the background, “we did it!” ocellus said, “Yay Yona amazed!” Yona said, “Yay we have some time with our parents and guardians, we will go to the TreeHouse Of Friendship to think of what we will do next!” Gallus said.
Some hours later after some time with their parents and guardians, the teen 6 went to the Treehouse of Friendship.

At the treehouse of Friendship, the teen 6 were thinking, “So any plans?” Gallus said, “Well me and Yona are dating!” Sandbar said as he put his hoof on Yona, “Yay you started dating last year any ideas? Gallus said, the teen 6 were thinking, “Yona have an idea, I will be Rarity’s helper!” Yona said, “Oh yay you help her sometimes, this will be your future, Yona!” Sandbar said, “If you help her, I will!” Sandbar said again, “Thanks Sandbar!” Yona said, “Okay Yona and Sandbar have future plans so what do we do?” Ocellus said.
The Teen 6 walk around Ponyville looking for a future plan for Gallus, “You can work at the spa?” Ocellus said, Gallus looked inside the window and saw Aloe massaging Golden Harvest’s hooves, “No too girly!” he said, “What about a school teacher?” SilverStream said as Gallus looked in the schoolhouse window and saw Cheerilee teaching, “nope!” he said again, the teen 6 went to Canterlot on a train, “What about a driver on a train?” Sandbar said, “no!” He said, the teen 6 are at Canterlot and they look around, “So what will your future plan be?” Smolder said, “I don’t know…wait!” Gallus pointed at General WIng with a shine said’s (Wanna join Guard army?) “That’s it!” Gallus said and ran to General Wing, “Hey general can I Join the army?” Gallus said.
“Hold on let me ask the princess first, I’ll be right back with her?!” General Wing left and came back with Twilight, “so Gallus you want to join the army?” Twilight said, “Yes I want to lead them to victory!” Gallus said, Twilight thought about it and said, “Yes, you can join the army!” Gallus smiled and shook her hoof, “Thank you princess, I will do it in the future!” Gallus said with excitement.

The Teen 6 came back to Ponyville, “So what do we work at?” SilverStream said, “You can work at the spa?” Gallus said as Silverstream, Ocellus, Smolder looked at the spa window watching Aloe and Lotus file Spoiled Rich’s hooves, “Um no!” Silverstream said, “no!” Ocellus said, “Too girly!” Smolder said, “Yona think about Stores?” Yona said as they looked at the store, “Too crowded!” Smolder said, “So what job do you want?, oh like the school!” Sandbar said, “Good Idea!” Silverstream, Ocellus, and Smolder said.
At the School Of Friendship, Starlight was at her office filing the papers with Trixie and Sunburst as the Teen 6 came in, “Wow what brings you 6 here?” Starlight said, “Can we work here?” SilverStream said, “Yay we can help you with all the work!” Ocellus, “And it will be no trouble at all!” Smolder said, “Starlight are you sure about this?” Trixie said, “Oh come on Trixie, we need all the help we can get!” Sunburst said, “Well you know what okay!” Starlight said as they cheered, Outside the teen 6 think about the future, “This is a start of a wonderful future!” Gallus said, “Yay we are teachers at The School Of Friendship!” SilverStream said, “Yay we are going to teach new students there!” Ocellus said, “Yay!” Smolder said, “Yona and Sandbar are happy for this!” Yona said, “Yay this is the future and we are here right now!” Sandbar said as they hugged as the sunshines near the school.
