Yeah, you’re probably right. Regardless, the lighter skin tones are probably to make them look more “normal.” Of course, none of these “humans” look normal. I mean seriously, have you ever even met someone with purple skin?

I’ve noticed that all of the EG characters have skin lighter than their Pony Counterparts. Whether by a little (example: Applejack, Pinkie), or a lot (example: Big Mac, Luna).
