I now headcanon that dragons never stop growing as they age, like trees.

Nice touch including Torch in the story.

Seriously, this scene is metal as frik for a show like this!

Assuming this is Torch it is interesting that it seems to have happened before he became Dragon Lord (no crown and he is smaller than he is now). If so then one can surmise that the “term” a dragon is allowed before giving up the position of leader is about a thousand years.
 
Likewise, again assuming this is more than a myth, one wonders if this encounter is what led to Torch’s quite moderate policy toward the ponies (i.e. he largely left them alone).

Interesting, but this new dragon has no light green eye ridges, not nearly as beefy limbs, and no elbow blades.

It might be the dragon from “Owl’s Well that Ends Well”, the fins changing with age.
 

So if the green dragon is Ember’s mother, what might her name be? Cinder?

If that is Torch.  
I bet he is constantly haunted by this humiliating defeat at the back of his head by a tiny pony for over millenias now.

These two are Ember’s parents. That one even is Ember’s father.

I think that’s Ember’s mom.
