That sounds like something he’d do. For all I knew he got it from some childrens’ book about dragons.
One strong theory is that after his experience with the teenage dragons, he made it up to further separate himself from their ilk.
Spike took it quite seriously as well and seemed determined to follow it through.
Just to (hopefully) clear this up: I didn’t mean to say there was anything wrong with Spikes character here. It was his decision to go, and he’s not very happy to leave Twilight. The only thing “wrong” here is how Twilight disregards her promise not to send Spike away. Which she doesn’t, technically, but being too distracted to pay attention counts too. I think.
I’m starting to wonder myself why I uploaded this.
As has been said before, Spike’s worst fear is Twilight throwing him out of the library, while saying something like “I don’t need you anymore” or “I can find another assistant better than you”. Is not the other way around.
I know she wasn’t, but Spike might have felt like she was.
Man,some OPs…
It still kinda happened. Twilight let him go due to lack of attention. Of course letting go and sending away isn’t the same, but close enough. And it obviously wasn’t easy for Spike, almost as if he actually hoped she would stop him.
What she did was acknowledge that “a dragon code is important to a dragon” (Simple logic) in order to eventually decide the best course of action to bring him back. Pay atention.
Yeah, but she was glad to have him back. Your point?
screw this, I’m out of here *leaves*
But she sent him away later, on account of taking this obviously made up Dragon Code thing seriously.
FUCK THIS KEYBOARD WITH MISSING LETTERS!
