Wed like to introduce Melody. She was a breeding mare in an illegal foal mill. When it was closed down we took care of her at the shelter as she was about to deliver.
 
She gave birth to two lovely colts, the last of God knows of many but this time she got to be with them.
 
Sad part about all of this is her bones are so brittle due to uninterrupted pregnancy that we try to minimize calcium loss through milk. Luckily melody is now great friends with patchy and her two foals can be fed when her mother has to rest.
 
Bone brittleness aside Melody has a shiny personality and likes to hum softly to her babies when they sleep.
