I don’t see why you had to cut out Snails’ line. It was still a perfectly fine gag.
You can read Wikipedia article on eunuchs… there were eunuchs with and without their member. Geldings and eunuchs have a non-existent sex drive and generally can’t get erection.

If you just consider the issue of fathering any more foals, yes, the result is the same. But a vasectomy is simply cutting off the connection, gelding is completely removing the source.
Nope, a vasectomy removes the vases that connect the testicles from the seminal tubes.
A gelding is the word for a castrated equine. So, no more testicles around.
