The Story of the Purple Nebula:  
“Long before Equestria came to be, there was a very sad pony who lost everything dear to her. She wandered the void for many years in search of a purpose, in search of hope. Then one evening, born from darkness, a single star brightly shone forth.  
This inspired the pony to create more luminous matter to light up the sky that surrounded her. She enjoyed her creations so much as they began to form into a beautiful Nebula. Shimmers of lavender and violet could be seen sparkling from this Nebula, and this created visions of creativity, enchantment, and hope for the pony.  
Little did she realize, that the Nebula she made could be seen from great distances. People from all around the globe came to watch the beautiful Nebula in the midnight sky. She was mesmerized by all the smiling faces that gazed upon her creations.  
She then realized that stars shine brightest when the sky is at its darkest. Inspired by that knowledge, her cutie mark magically appeared along with her wings and horn. She was now ready to become the pony she was always meant to be.  
Her purpose was finally clear; to go forth and create beauty in the darkness.”
