People have been bashing The Round Stable here, so I thought I’d show you some of the reasonable people on there.
Lilli, thank you for stopping by. I only wish that you had decided to spend your time in discussion, rather than accusation.
The fact is that there isn’t much discussion of it on Derpibooru. I’ve posted a few comments about it to clarify some issues, but for the most part, the DWM and TRS tags are where people go to mock. If you’re interested in actual discussion of the issue, please try to start it. I didn’t show up at TRS and call out the people in the thread on their “special and enlightened” attitude, now did I?
That is what several of them were saying, yes. Because they believe they’re right, they can be as vicious and insulting as they wish.
Trying to accomplish anything while holding such a mentality is utterly ludicrous.
The attitudes of most of them disgust the hell out of me. It’s like they think they can behave just as repulsively as they want, because they’re “in the right”, which they AREN’T.
Oh snap.
Also “civility breeds civility and all that” ya, but I have looked at a few places and it seems some will never be civil, no matter what.
You went and said that in a comment section where we are talking about how they(the ones that are acting like this) have flaws in there arguments, not painting them all as as one group, like what you are saying, that seems a lot like you dismiss anything said civil manner, and that is what some of them are doing.
I’m not sure how I was dismissing anyone. The comment was not directed at people who are not being innately hostile. I was rather pointing out that folks who would prefer civility should work to portray that trait within their own arguments. Civility breeds civility and all that.
Hello, and think you for acting just like them, dismissing any that may act in a civil manner and acting like only the ones that insult others are the only ones on the site.
This. Literally all I hear from these people is vulgarity and personal attacks, while I calmly explain to them how and why they’re trivializing what they claim to be fighting for. And heaven forbid you point out pinkiepony’s questionability - you get labeled a “libelous shitstain”. Such caring, thoughtful people that we should TOTALLY be listening to, right?

All communities have reasonable and nice individuals.
Hell, even that one website were it’s all dudes roleplaying as either schoolgirls, or the tentacle rape monsters that assail them, has nice and reasonable people, so why not TRS?
Doesn’t make the place any less shitty, it just means your cavemen reflexes should take a break from jumping someone thay comes from there.
I’m not particularly inclined to agree with someone that starts their argument with “you’re a rape apologist and brony scum”, regardless of what it is they’re talking about.
