You’re wrong.
There’s nothing wrong with challenging someone anyway.
They wanted to make her look bad on her own show, Trixie’s was just trying to defend herself by protecting her job.
Wouldn’t anyone else do the same if someone tried to make you lose your job?
she only challenged twilight as I recall, and twilight didn’t get to answer ’cuz applejack volunteered
Whatever, literally over four freaking years ago. It’s canon that Trixie isn’t a “bad guy” now, and until the show runners deign us with anything new, that’s all we have.
Given how a third of Equestria uses magic for everyday stuff, it’s not hard to see why she’d inflates herself.
RD:I mean..Yeah, magic smagic. BOOOOOO!
TX: I’m trying to put on a show here. If you don’t like it you can just leave!
AJ: Sounds good to me
RY: Yes, let us all leave right away.
Cue end credits
They didn’t interrupt her show, they were talking amongst themselves and Trixie(wither or not she could hear them is up for interpretation) was ignoring them till Rainbow Dash booed her(and that was only after AJ glared at her). Plus if manipulating the rainbow is anything to go by, Trixie certainly had the magical talent to beat them without resorting to dirty tricks. I’ve always maintained if Spike, Rairty and Applejack didn’t like the show then they should of just left, but they and Rainbow didn’t deserve to be made fools of like that.
She called Applejack and Rarity.
Yeah, indirect, as in she didn’t call out a specific pony.
Indirect challenge? She challenged everyone in Ponyville.
Trixie: Don’t believe the Great and Powerful Trixie? Well then, I hereby challenge you, Ponyvillians. Anything you can do, I can do better. Any takers? Anyone? Hmm? Or is Trixie destined to be the greatest equine who has ever lived!?
And when no one take the challenge, she act like troll. And after that, she was the one who challenged Applejack and Rarity.
Yeah, I’ll admit, that one was actually pretty impressive (it’s probably pretty hard to move rainbows with unicorn magic).
I can argue that bending and twirling a rainbow was kinda spectacular.
Doesn’t change the fact that she didn’t truly BEAT them and only indicated that she didn’t actually have the skills to back up her boasting (plus, ruining Rarity’s mane like that was just petty)…
If someone issues an indirect challenge and you accept, whatever happens is your own fault.
So you think it’s all right to humiliate someone for daring to criticize you?
Wow.
I fail to see any insults here. I’ve always figured that emphasis on “rock farm” was due to how hard and monotonous the job was.
Well to be fair, Trixie was on the right for humiliating them after they interrupted and called her out on her own show.
She was clearly evil by that point, and she emphasized it in a negative way.
Mind you, the fact that she felt like she HAD to make shit up to make herself look good indicates that she probably has some kind of inferiority complex, which does make her a little more sympathetic, but quite frankly, her misfortune was her own damn fault.
Trixie: Why? Because you humiliated me! After you showed me up with that Ursa Minor, I became a laughing stock! Everywhere I went I was laughed at and ostracized. I even had to take a job on a rock farm just to earn a living! A rock farm!
Pinkie Pie: Hey! You’re lucky a rock farm would take the likes of you!
Ah. fair enough.
Her ill manner was with the line of work. Her comment might have been insensitive but it didn’t actually insult the farmers.
I dislike working on dairy farms, but it doesn’t mean that I think the managers, the herdsmen and the milkers are all douchebags.
In the images she showed of what happened to her, the rock farmer she was working for was clearly Pinkie’s dad.
