I know it’s not I dream of Genie because of the comments below, but that’s the vibe I get. I picture flutters with a more curvaceous figure, maybe someday the artist will be inspired to redo some of their older work as their skill has greatly improved over the years. If they do this one would be my vote.

Are the characters themselves under Namco’s umbrella as well? Like I expect Ian and Psyme are since they’re main characters, but, say, is Zelly copyrighted to them?  
If not they could always do an alternate/spinoff that way, with only vague references to the original. Could make it one of those ‘choosing to do good or evil’ type storylines too, since Zelly was kind of a dick, wiping out her own crew and all to stop the ‘leak’ XD  
So you could choose to play her as she is or start making her choose less murderous solutions to pressing problems.

Unfortunately, Namco owns the the rights to Sigma Star Saga. They explained, in great detail, why there wouldn’t be another SSS during the Shantae 1/2 Genie Hero campaign Twitch feed stream thing. However, if they wanted to run with a…alternate story that revolves around the endings of SSS then, yes, there might be another game. That question kept popping up in the chat all night long.

and yeah it basically got savaged because they coded a PSP game on the GBA.  
Laaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaag!  
Rebelstar (their x-com spoof) had similar problems with GBA hardware.

Was Sigma Star Saga successful sales wise?  
If Shantae already has some trouble reaching all the goals on kickstarter. I doubt Sigma Star Saga would make it.

I hope they revisit Sigma Star Saga eventually too. If there’s a kickstarter for that, that is one I’d be interested in, especially since I can use my monies to tell them MAKE IT FREAKIN’ FASTER AND DROP THE ENCOUNTER RATE SWEET JESUS WHY

With Wayforward having a kickstarter for their newest Shantae game. A Shantae and Pony crossover was to be expected.  
Anyway. Hope they succeed.
