BIO:
Ember Sparks was born in the small community town of Wington in the Mistrid Isle, noteworthy for its populace of, and appeal to, Pegasi compared to the other species. Disregarding that it is a small, secluded town.

As a child Ember was in and out of the doctors and hospital because of an inherited disease called Dirosus A, which stunts the growth and development of nerves and muscles in the backs and wings of Pegasi. Unfortunately because of this, Ember’s wings had to be amputated at a young age in fear they could cause damage to her back.

Besides these trips to the hospital and the fairly constant medication Ember was a bright and confident child. Nurses and teachers recall interesting and cheerful attitudes from the young filly who was always talking and doing something.

Though she was always bound to be alienated in a school so heavily populated with Pegasi, and so heavily focused around sport and activity. Couple this with a twinge of bullying, and Ember realised fairly early on that she was different from everyone else. She had to sit out PE and trips because of her weak frame, though you would find the mare during these times in the library.

Throughout the years of primary and secondary school, Ember encountered her share of prejudice, but also found this to make her quite independent and thick skinned, and the days of being upset about comments were quickly replaced with study and learning exercises. Her teachers noticed a huge difference in grades compared to her classmates, and would always refer to her being ‘two academic years ahead’.

Ember is a fast learner, and can absorb information very easily. This is how not long after studying mechanics she planned and blueprinted a complete model of mechanical prosthetic wings, and idea she was always interested in since sitting out of PE lessons. By the end of that year to the shock of her peers, she attended school wearing a prototype and her newely-formed mark.

At the end of school, aged 16, Ember finished with flying colours in maths, science, IT and Mechanics, and not long after leaving began on and off dating her boyfriend Olive.
Becoming close to someone had made Ember introspect into who she is, and think about traits she had not noticed in herself. She was quite sharp and quippy, but also extremely stubborn to outside help. The independent nature of her upbringing had taught her to neglect help and figure things out by herself, which can be both a force for good and bad.
Olive also observed she could become quite introverted and depressed when posed with a task she found she couldn’t overcome without help, again as a result of her independence.

Also, Ember struggles to see the world through the eyes of anybody else. She visions peoples problems through her own lense of experiences, rather than an appropriate one when offering advice. While she isn’t outwardly mean, she can seem quite unempathetic and insensitive at times.

At the age of 21 Ember along with Olive aquired the abandoned Wington Valley Observatory, and slowly over time acquiring the money to renovate the place completely, and in 2633 the refurbishment was complete, renamed the Wington Valley Library. This is where Ember and Olive work and live today.

Firstly if her expression looks like she’s in pain a bit or worried, that was an accident XD She was supposed to be sort of winking in a way, I should really practise these things.

But anyway the biggest change with Ember is her wings, I can never get a design I want to stick with regarding that. But I think I got it this time, it’s not too intricate yet it’s got some techy stuff going on there. They also start on her sort of neck this time too and not the sides of her body. I was just thinking like those old wings are gonna be totally out of balance just on a single strap around her body, haha. So I’ve put them on a sort of metal harnessy-thing held by two belts rather than one. I dunno, it’s talking-magic-horse territory I dunno why I have to complicate it XD
Cool thing is tho that it’s not a retcon cause those older wings designs still exist, they’re just like her previous attempts at crafting them. Cool stuff.

Also I’ve given her those metal back-leg braces. I just think it matches the wings quite nicely and gives us another detail to her design that makes her unique.
Other than that I’ve not changed much, her tail has had a tweak to make it a little less similar to Ace’s.

I’m actually really happy with this one not gonna lie, but what do you think?
