She did.Or else MCarthy couldnt have reported her impression as “vocal disdain” Source:the leaked email that cant be posted
It was an asshole move to end all asshole move
And God left years ago she had no input on the show since she left
Not opinion, but the word of GOD
Lauren has said that she wasn’t aware of EqG until after she’d left the show.
I might be wrong but considering that she left during season 2 and Equestria Girls wasn’t even announced until after season 3 it probably wasn’t actually in development when she was on board if it was it probably would have only have been in the concept stage
Lauren hasn’t even watched it, so her opinion doesn’t matter. There are no brainless Bimbo in bikinis in the series, and insulting the series audience isn’t going to make people want to take you seriously.
If that’s the entire reason, then she must have dropped out of DC Super Hero Girls by now
Definitely makes sense.
She’s said outright on multiple occasions that it was a far more stressful job that she had thought it would be, and the stress level eventually got to the point she couldn’t take it anymore; Larson has backed that up several times as well, saying that the main reason he loved working on the show early on was that Lauren was running so many parts of the operation herself that the writers and directors could just Do Their Thing, but it was clearly just too many plates in the air for one person.
Apparently something like that DID happen, but we don’t know whether that’s why she left the show or not. Eitehr way it’s way too personal for folks like us to pry into.
I have to question if something like would be just be a rumour if it was true
Edited
There are all sorts of rumors about just why she left the show (a rather disturbingly popular one is that she suffered a miscarriage during early production of the show and thus left to recover from it), but nothing’s ever been confirmed.
Pretty sure it was a corporate mandate so she wouldn’t have stopped it
Seriously, it’s cool to hear what she would have done with it if general bullshit hadn’t driven her away from it, but the most useful that will ever be is as the basis for fan content treating her vision as an alternate universe where things went differently. We got what we got, erryone can live with it or write a fix fic or something.
Guess it depends on whenever you feel the characters and setting are better suited for light-hearted slice-of-life
Lauren or not, it did not change much my perception. some say she would keep the show like Foster’s Home and if you think about it, it would be a series without substance, just funny ponies and not much.
She was only hired to set up the groundwork
She almost certainly would have ended up in a state of perpetual war with Hasbro management, fighting their inability to understand character driven plotting or to comprehend the concept of “employees” and “giving people an actual fucking room to work in”.
Probably cause she made Equestria and a show we like so much! Though I agree treating her like she’s a goddess isn’t really necessary.
I’m honestly curious how it would have all went down if Faust remained the creative lead. Would the same Twilicorn haters call her a sellout hypocrite, or would they still scapegoat McCarthy/Larson/Hasbro?
