The fact that she thinks it’s out of hatred made her into Depresstia. And then Pinkie Pie told her that it was simply out of creativity.

No one is sick of her, we all want her to do something. And like I said, the potential is there. The writers just don’t do anything with her.

Celestia should have an episode where she goes around solving little problems all over Canterlot

Celestia has flaws if you see them as they’re spread out. Like she wants to do whatever is best for her people but at the same time wants them to see her as just a normal pony ect.

And as for the headcanon thing… Headcanon should be compensatory, and not the entire basis of your experience. Luna’s character was completely out of left field in Luna Eclipsed, but most people didn’t care that their headcanons got raped: At least we got a fucking Luna episode! And in the end, everyone has grown to love Luna’s character. She’s not just a Fluttershy rehash like everyone thought she’d be.
 
I willing sacrifice my headcanon upon a bloody altar in favor of episodes featuring Scootaloo, Celestia, and Trixie.

IMO, an episode revolving around her wouldn’t have to be too dark (dealing with death/immortality and watching everyone wither around you), but still a little dark (probably focusing on everyone walking on eggshells around her when she’s just as willing to be wild and fun as anyone else, and the seriousness of everything saddening/temporarily maddening her). An episode where she finally loses patience, gets sick of the serious treatment, and snaps a la Twilight could be sad, funny, and altogether good.

Justified? Sure. Still the Worf Effect. When the “strongest” character around gets their ass handed to them by a previously unknown enemy, that’s the Worf Effect. Admit it, Chrysalis wouldn’t have seemed nearly as threatening if she hadn’t pretty much cockslapped Celestia with a magical nuke laser.
