After fleeing the Changeling Hive and refusing to accept Starlight Glimmer’s offer of starting her life over, not only was Chrysalis filled with burning rage and hatred, but she was also overwhelmingly devastated. Her Changelings, her species that she had raised and ruled over all her life were taken away after her recent defeat. Chrysalis spent the rest of the day screaming and tantruming over her loss and once she got tired of screaming, she followed up with crying. She could no longer ease her anger by being with her Changelings.
 
Yeah, I’m one of those Chrysalis fans who like seeing a sympathetic side in her. Those “Mommy Chrissy” pics the fandom makes at times are really heartwarming and they shaped the way for how I see Chrysalis. So then why did she turn down Starlight’s offer? Because the role of being the ruler of the Changelings for so long has given her a massive ego and pride. She clearly saw the solution to her kind’s problems but it seems that she cares about her pride way more than her Changelings. Unless Chrysalis can learn to overcome her pride and anger, Chrysalis is choosing to spend the rest of her life alone and miserable. Let’s hope that she can eventually change her mind in the future.
