Having found no other choice, Lapis expels her final shreds of energy, and collapses to the ground as her final spell stuns it’s target. The twins have gone for weeks without life energy, and now that they are in dire need, there is no other choice. One unlucky mare must become a feast of life energy, to fuel the cursed Tenebris amulet around the twins’ necks. Without this, Lapis would surely die from it’s life sapping powers.
 
With one final look into their victim’s terrified eyes. Gemma utters one last sentence.  
“I’m so sorry.. I wish it didn’t have to be this way..”
