That flag is backwards.I used to think those huge flags were ridiculous until I bought my last car and it was the only way I found the dealership.
Technically food isn’t designed for temporary use and discard, as the confectioneries which would be decorated as such are designed to be consumed in their entirety. The Flag Code also carries no legal penalty for violation of it following Supreme Court rulings on the matter, however it remains codified in federal law as a guideline for display of the United States flag.

Surprisingly, there’s nothing in the Flag Code that says you can’t eat it. There’s a rule that says you shouldn’t print the flag on “anything that is designed for temporary use and discard”, which presumably includes food. And you’re definitely not supposed to tear it. But as long as the flag wasn’t made to be eaten and you devour it whole, you should be in the clear.
That’s kinda desecration of the Stars & Stripes, & the hospital visit will kinda be karma. ^^
