Shipping Thread

I lied, I don’t feel like doing all of that. But I can say who I think are among her worst.
 
Moondancer, Pandora, Morning Glory, Zipperflash, Chakra Blossom, and Artemis.
 
I’ve gone off on Moondancer many times. Terrible character all around.
 
Pandora is meh. The bullying backstory sucks and she’s literally just a mini Discord.
 
Morning Glory oh my god. You know, I don’t have a real problem with the ship but their kid is emo and ungrateful it seems.
 
Zipperflash. Another loud-mouthed rival to Dash’s kid, yawn.
 
Chakra Blossom, oh boy. It’s mostly because she decided to make Zephyr a terrible dad, which in turn made his son kinda an asshole, not to the extent of Moondancer but still.
 
Artemis. Great design but I’m seriously tired of seeing Luna paired up with OCs. Plus she killed off this dad so…what a waste. Also this whole secret gender thing is annoying and tiresome. I would rather she just say it’s a dude that looks androgynous.

Morning Glory is her Sunset/Starlight kid and she’s not a very good character.

Magnolia is bad too. Her personality is so hack saw it hurts to think about.

I know her personality is glued together but she’s one of the better Rarijack kids I’ve seen design-wise.

Im just saying the personality of a character is their soul. I’d rather go down on Quasimodo (the Disney vesrion) Then even be in the same room with the edgy angst train that is Lopoddity’s characters.

I didn’t mean that her design made up for her personality, I was just saying yeah it’s glued together but she’s also one of the better designs for that pairing. Besides, her personality isn’t that bad compared to the other shit Lop has written.

I like Cupcake. Mostly I think her human design is cute.
 
Pandora is okay but the bullying thing should not be canon (I think this with basically every NG instance I’ve come across where a royalty offspring got bullied. It’s really stupid and lazy. Maybe if the bully is a manipulative sociopath I’d give points for effort. But just bland “school yard bully” as a catalyst for personality quirks needs to be shot on sight.
 
Moondancer is kind of hilarious. Why does he hate Trixie? Starswirl’s lineage comes through her not Blueblood. Lopoddity stated this explicitly. So the only reason he’s on his whiny ego trip is because he’s like the 2000th’d ancestor of Starswirl…Through his MOM whom he hates. face palm
 
Chakra Blossom…He…makes little sense. Because even though Zeph abandoned him,(there is a part to that story which disturbs me but I won’t touch on that now)he was still in a loving family environment. So why is he such a heel? Is being a lazy manipulator somehow genetic? The world may never know.
 
Zipperflash. Tad generic. I’ve seen many RD kid rivals. He’s…one of them alright!
 
Artemis. I’m mostly in agreement with AJ007 on this character. Not much else to it tho.
 
Morning Glory. I call her Mandy. From Billy and Mandy. But this character is nothing more than a “qurik” like Lopoddity sat down and thought “lol wouldn’t it be funny if a pony was just evil for the hell of it?” And drew that…and forgot to give a reason. Theres still time tho.
 
Magnolia May. Hmmm I mean…I have to agree with whats been said before. She’s like a gem fusion that is always trying to unfuse. This isn’t how a character foible is supposed to work. It’s like if you made a FlutterDash who loved going really fast but was also so scared of heights they feinted every time they accelerated upwards. AJ007. You said you don’t like visual design that is just blobs of paint on top of one another. Well this is the exact same thing. Just with personalities.

Actually a better example would be like..A Twipie who is trying to perform an experiment but halfway through she flips out and starts trying to make a rave party out of the chemistry/potion equipment.

Lol actually here is a better one for a FlutterDash example.
 
Like, she’s really outgoing, but doesn’t like to get to know people and immediately shuts down when people actually notice her doing cool things. But she loves doing cool things for an audience anyway, and she hates both her moms because Shy is too shy and Dash is too dashing.

Hmmm. I mean despite everything talked about. What are even worthy alternatives? How many people go through the trouble to world build for their Ocs?

That’s what started this thread to begin with.

I never “got” Tree Hugger/Zephyr. I get they are both lax and don’t have flattering hair styles, but there’s nothing that “clicks” with them.
