I don’t like HSM, but my cousin would learn the dances to the songs.

Funnily enough my sister used to give me masses of grief about pony, but was a huge fan of high school musical. When I finally watched it I really annoyed her by going ‘you know, this is basicly my little pony set in high school’.
 
I thought the same of ‘community’, which even had pretty much the same metaplot.

HSM have decent songs, and is pretty “relatable” to EQG

…That’s an unfair comparison. That’s actually one of the few awesome moments from that movie. (And one without a bland romance being shoved in my face.)

HSM2 did at least have one or two good songs, though every one of Dazzlings’ songs in Rainbow Rocks was awesome.

I actually think they stand on equal ground… They each do some things right and some things wrong.
