artist:bbmbbf is still creating art, as recently as May 11 of this year, under their original name.
 
And there is evidence that the person you are suggesting is bbmbbf is in reality just commissioning pieces from bbmbbf, and is not actually the artist of any pieces under their gallery.
 
For example, this image [not explicit] that cheftrim29 has in their gallery is tagged “bbmbbf”, not cheftrim29. If cheftrim29 really was bbmbbf, I would expect them to be tagging their own art with their name. Also, cheftrim29 talks about only being able to request 1 image per month from bbmbbf.
 
So, without some clear statement from bbmbbf stating that they have changed their name, I don’t believe that cheftrim29 is bbmbbf.

I find it highly unlikely that bbmbbf would ever change their name without threats of legal action, they’ve been makin’ mad bank drawing porn under that name for over a decade and are one of the most recognizable adult commission artists across several different fandoms.

I figured it out myself, and you’re right. These are probably two different artists, which is still creating (or was creating, whatever) arts under brand Equestria Untamed, which one belongs to Mobius Unleashed. Anyway, thanks.

Hello, I’d like to request that ‘artist:ice star’ and ‘artist:ice-star-pony’ be made into one alias, and the latter tag to connect be as the user relevant to the tag, displaying the warning that I’m on the DNP list.
 
Would there also be any way to get an ‘author:ice star’ tag too? It’d work very well for me, and when I tried to make one, it didn’t exactly work out. (It ended up being a little green tag the second time I tried, and the first time I tried to link my FimFic profile back here on my page, it just put a link on my page, but no tag with it, and I can’t obtain a way to reset the link so I can create a proper tag. I’ve contacted a few mods about this, and I was told this was the best way to get the tag changes done.)

Well, first, your link has been fixed, but now you’re going to have to file DNP requests again under ice-star-pony, because i can’t transfer these requests to the new tag, and i don’t know if they’ll work (although i don’t think they will) once the tag is aliased.
 
And as for the author tag, i don’t see much use for having it; fanfics don’t get posted outside of the forums, and such a tag couldn’t be used there. so you’d most likely have a perpetually empty tag were we to add it.

I didn’t say that; i’ll alias artist:ice star to artist:ice-star-pony as soon as as the DNPs are ready on the latter and i remove them in the former.

And if you were talking about your fimfic link when you were talking about “deleting it”, that’s just the way it’s supposed to work. we don’t usually associate author:x tags to these links because they aren’t likely to be used; but these links are necessary for the author badge.
