The problem with "ask someone" and "asksomeone"

Many ask blogs have tag variants with and without spaces. Examples:
 
askstalkerloo <=> ask stalkerloo  
askspikedadragon <=> ask spike da dragon  
askplushderpy <=> ask plush derpy  
askpinchy <=> ask pinchy
 
Would it be possible to detect and fix them automatically? For now I’ve come with this type of queries, but they are far from ideal.

Just need to decide on a common format. We’re starting to use the <category>:<title> format more and more often, so I had suggested previously to use ask:fluffle puff or ask:velvet etc. as the default format and alias other versions to the default.

So it would be:  
Ask: Stalkerloo  
with aliases: askstalkerloo, ask stalkerloo

But what about blogs that don’t have ask in their name, like The Royal Sketchbook or Horse Wife? Would they get the same ask prefix? “ask:horse wife” or “ask:royal sketchbook” look weird imo.
 
Plus, and that’s probably more important than my personal taste, it would be super inconsistent. These blogs would keep their full name after the prefix, while “Ask Velvet”, “Ask Fluffle Puff” and “Ask Stalkerloo” lose the “Ask” in their name.

Actually, looking at the tags page: I did make a tag for a tumblr before: tumblr:sexy spitfire  
Because “sexy spitfire” was being used when our normal tag for that stuff is “stupid sexy x”.
 
So we could go with “Tumblr:name” for tumblr blogs.

So “tumblr:ask stalkerloo”, “tumblr:horse wife” and so on? Yeah, I think that’d be better.

Are there any askblog-style things not on tumblr? … Even if not, probably would be better to go with the more general “blog:”, just in case, wouldn’t it?

Blog: sounds better then tumblr: to me.

Looks good. I vote for “blog:”.

I personally prefer the Ask name that these blogs were called - see also the tag https://derpibooru.org/search?q=ask - but whatever you pick.

Sounds good to me, i think at some point I even requested something similar, but that was years ago.  
Blog would be the better choice, since not everyone uses tumblr, I saw some of the asks on diviant art as well, and not all the blogs are called ask.

We’re also debating adding a new tag color category for all fan creation type stuff such as comic:* blog:* fanfic:* etc.

I would love that as well. Might do that with the official episodes, actually, there it might be good to have two, one for episode: and one for special:

All official animation and literary titles should be getting the gold tag coloration soon: comic series, books, etc., but we hadn’t discussed prepending their names with something like that.
 
We might put in a short description for those though, like “G. M. Berrow short novel” or “MLP:FiM Season 1 episode 5” or “Equestria Girls movie 2” or “Equestria Girls short special 3” or “IDW Fiendship is Magic issue 2/5” etc.

I would absolutely go with blog: for the prefix since it’s not site specific like asks or tumblrs are.
