I’m pretty sure it was never meant to be a serious relationship. More like a…is fling the right word? You know, when you meet a boy or girl during summer vacation and you spend most of that time together, but once vacation is over and you’re back in school you’ll probably never see each other again?

They really should just drop this attempt at a relationship. It’s not healthy for either of them. They spend at most seconds out of a given day every few months with each other, and barely speak, and in the interval times, they live in entirely different worlds living lives that don’t relate to one another at all. That’s not a relationship, and it’s wrong to tell little girls they can ‘own’ a boy as though they were actually in a relationship with such an absence of contact.

I assure you, you are most certainly not welcome. I just spent the last 3 hours going through Uotapo’s blog looking things up. It’s almost as bad as when I first discovered TV Tropes.
 
On a related note, I wonder how common it is for Japanese fans of Star Vs the Forces of Evil to refer to her as, “StarBa-chan” (Ba coming from the pronunciation of Butterfly).
 
And pony-related, I was rather touched by Uotapo’s response to Fiendship Is Magic 1: “Sombra made mistakes, but if he had more friends, if the Crystal Heart’s power didn’t extend so far (?), his fate and the Crystal Empire’s would probably be very different. If there had been someone like the CMC, who would’ve gone looking for hopes and dreams together, they could’ve overcome tribal differences (i.e. that whole Umbra thing).”

I have to shamefully admit I had to resort to using Bing Translator’s voice function because I didn’t recognise some of the kanji, and I tend to be better at translation if I hear the words rather than read them.

I’d like to point out that since in Japanese pronouns and stuff can be dropped (due to the context being obvious to both speaker and listener), there are alternative interpretations available. I’m not entirely sure which one is most accurate to Uotapo’s intentions.
 
For example, that last sentence I also think means, “That’s why Flash and Sunset appear together in my artwork”, “That’s why I stick Flash and Sunset together,” or “That’s why Sunset sticks close to Flash (to keep an eye on him).”

Yeah, that’s the English version I mentioned. That said, there were some slight differences (hence my notes at the bottom of my translation post).

I’m not sure this warrants a translation, considering the English version is available, but if the tag’s there…

I’d point out that compared to the English version, Fluttershy refers to Twilight simply as Twilight, rather than Princess Twilight.
 
For Sunset’s note, it can be interpreted as, “Blue-haired guitar player getting along with other girls”, but because of the “wa yo” at the end I went for Sunset deliberately egging Twilight on, hence my decision to add, “certain” in front of blue-haired.
 
I’d also like to mention that Twilight’s line’s literal translation is, “Where is he right now?!” but that sounded a bit clunky in English.
