the terms for weapon base flight in TF2 are
Scout- Hype Jump (requires Soda Popper) and Force Jump (requires Force-A-Nature)
Soldier- Rocket Jump (Requires any Primary Weapon)
Pyro- Flare Jump (Requires either a Detonator or Scorch Shot)
Demoman- Cannon Jump (Requires Loose Cannon), Sticky Jump (Requires any Sticky Bomb Launcher), and Caber Jump (Requires a Ullapool Caber)
Engineer- Sentry Jump (Requires Level 2 or 3 Sentry and a Wrangler/Giger Counter

Too late. Might as well accept it.
Personally I made Soldier a pegasus because of rocket jumping, but I’d imagine that he’s not too good at flying. Maybe it’s like not having hollow bones or something, so he can glide with wings and drop out the sky to stomp on foes, “market gardener” style.
Yeah those are just my reasonings, it’s just a bit of ponification fun though, I’m not going to take it too seriously :p
But of course with all due respect to the artist who created his way to be , should, be as it draws, but it’s my analysis.
Yeah but otherwise he is slow as hell, and pyro’s + demo man can rocket jump too ;p
Rocket jumping is close enough to flying.
