The lack of bastions make this design quite useless as the defending forces have less surface to place the cannons and makes the corners easier to be destroyed and then be assaulted. Having so many corners spread too much the defending resources and therefore reduces its effectiveness. Five is the optimal, as proven in real life by humans. Not classic, just thematic.
