I mean, Moondancer cut absolutely everybody out of her life rather than just Twilight…probably not even asking WHY Twilight left, assuming she knows where she lives (well, lived, but again, could have go there and get answers.)

Feels a bit unfair on Twi. Sure she could have definitely been a a more considerate/socially aware person but it’s hard to say if she ever wanted to be friends with the Canterlot unicorns. She never really led Moondancer on as she was always just doing her own thing that happened to somewhat fall in-line with what Moondancer liked too.
Twilight was the one who ditched her Canterlot friend group and skipped out on Moondancer’s party, and Twi also meant a lot to Moondancer, but it was Moondancer that built up these one-sided feelings and let one pony missing out on her party turn into an absolute recluse for however long it was since Twilight left till she returned and reconnected. The other Canterlot girls even recognized that Twilight up and ghosting them was just par for the course while Moondancer had her own built up expectations of Twilight that inevitable fell apart to the reality of the situation.
Honestly, it felt almost like a parasocial relationship.
