@Keith Mowz
Are you talking about his fairly new “review current movies by reenacting them” thing? Because, I’ll admit, aside from a few (I did like his and Joe’s Superman v Batman review), the shtick doesn’t really work for me.
@nicktoonhero
If anything, having discussed the material without discussing the plot means that discussing his thoughts on the film without actually going over the film is exceptionally redundant.
@weimaj
To be fair, on the Mad Max and Hocus Pocus NC videos, didn’t Doug already made videos saying his pieces on both those films, thus making going over them again in the NC videos redundant?
@weimaj
One: It can’t be a BLAM because its not a moment, its the entire episode.
Two: We’ve had half a dozen of these at most so far, versus dozens of the regular style of review. This is clearly not a new status quo established by TBF/RMGO.
clipless ‘reviews’ that don’t even address the plot.
Big Lipped Alligator Moments.
And before anyone argues against me, I’m just going to point out that To Boldly Flee changed the entire world, and the Critic’s perception (as seen in The Review Must Go On), therefore of course the reviews won’t be the same. As for Doug Walker’s reasons why he hasn’t gone back… have you considered he’s now having gasp MORE FUN? (Although I will concede the Hocus Pocus and Mad Max reviews were just the live action skits put together, which sucked.)
@rdibp
He was best in that period between getting back into the swing of things from unretiring the character, up until he started to turn every review into a bullshit filled opinion piece and started the clipless ‘reviews’ that don’t even address the plot.
