I recommend looking up a book named “fun with a pencil” or the ctrlpaint.com video tutorials. They will help you with getting better with art. I am studying them myself now.

So start off with the head and create a connecting point. Then fill in the rest.

oh those. To be honest I thought they were called something else. Still the line visible. how do they hide them especially on character with white fur like Celestia and Fleur de Lis?
You can see the smaller lines here and there that’s not the pony?
We can call those help lines. Beside the lines on the legs that are on the other side of the pony because that’s shading in this case. The artist uses these to try to find the form and maintain the proportions etc.
