I think the eyes, combined with her pose, makes her look vulnerable.

Every time I look at this picture the first thing that I notice is her eyes. They look… like she’s not ‘there’.
Damnit, I just can’t find the right words.

It’s spooky, if you’ll excuse the overused word.
