Indeed this, though just for the sake of transparency/disclosure I think it should be mentioned that there can be overlap between diaper fetish and pedophilia though this is by no means an inherent consequence.
 
 
In fact for many (such as myself) could be argued to find pedophilia MORE repugnant since it is to steal and destroy from real children what we wish we could have back if even only for a moment.

This seems like kind of a cop out compared to the others.

It’s because people assume that it’s related to pedophilia, which is not how fetishes work in the first place. It reminds them of baby items, plus there are plenty of diaper fetishists that act like babies, so it’s natural to assume that these people must be attracted to babies. However, looking into the issue, it’s pretty clear that it’s an object fetish, and that they aren’t interested in having sex with babies at all. They want to return to infancy so that they can experience the innocence and simplicity once more. They don’t want to stay there usually, though extreme cases will go to great lengths to become babies and stay in that form for as long as possible. But it’s mostly harmless.
