Could be due to the monthly “Sonic spam floods.” People here get triggered by anything even slightly “Sonic” now thanks to those. Good, or bad.
 
Or maybe some just loathe seeing the MLP characters drawn in the Sonic style, or with Sonic characters. (Yet, are fine with Spiderman crossovers, anime crossovers, Fallout crossovers, generic FPS game crossovers, ect.)

I understand all the downvotes on blatantly traced art but I don’t understand the hatred towards actually well drawn sonic related art.

Usually, they’re fans of rival consoles. Like Playstation/X-Box fans who see him as “too kiddy,” and such.

I like Sonic too, but actually, Sonic has many ex-fans & haters alike due to the controversial quality & directions his games have taken in the past 15 years. (Google “Sonic Cycle”) He’s not as belved as Super Mario anymore within the internet gaming community sadly. He still has some dedicated fans though.
 
For that matter, some people hate Mario too.

Sonic has been everyone’s favorite character like Mario and etc. I guess people don’t want to see them as ponies which is just a stupid excuse. I’m a sonic fan myself. I like the art that they make and seeing them as ponies. I just don’t get it.

Yeah, everyone’s getting very divided on “how to improve the Sonic series/games,” that if the series goes one direction, it’ll upset half the fans. (Like those who want “faster gameplay, less platforming,” or “less speed, more platforming.” Or those who want their favorite characters to come back, and those who want only Sonic & Eggman without any others.)
 
I saw a random ex-Sonic fan on DA make a long list of what he thinks they should do to improve the Sonic series. The whole list seemed like stuff that would anger most Sonic fans, and ex-fans alike. One of which was to combine Amy & Sally into one character. (Amy-fans & Sally-fans wouldn’t like that.)

That’s the issue with Haters. If you’re doing it wrong, there will be haters. If you’re doing it right, there will be haters.

That’s why there’s hate, (and the Sonic spam upload floods don’t help either) Sonic is the internetz’ whipping boy.
 
Though, maybe his 2 upcoming promising games will quell the internet hate a bit.

Agreed, and I’m surprised somebody here remembers Dulcy. She hasn’t been in the comics in forever.

Well, to be fair, it would be odd to have him like a small Dulcy, would be better as more of a reptilian mobian like Espio or Vector

Its a decent pic, but yeah Spike needs to be more reptile.

This is actually a pretty well drawn pic, and it doesn’t deserve all the downvotes just because it’s a Sonic crossover. This gets my upvotes, and I don’t even like Sonic. Y’all need to chill.
